If you are ordering from outside of the UK just take a minute or two to read through the information below before placing your order. It contains a few handy facts that may answer any questions you might have about postage, shipping and placing your order.

Our Minimum requirement for overseas orders remains at £100.00GBP plus postage.

Ordering Made Simple - Please place your order online if at all possible as this will speed up the processing of your order. You will be guided through the ordering process and prompted to give us the correct information to process your order more efficiently. You will be offered multiple shipping choices where applicable and you will be given a quote including the shipping charges before you actually submit your order with us. It couldn’t be easier.

Shipping Costs - The shipping cost is calculated by weight and volume and we use Federal Express, SBS Worldwide Distribution, Business Post and Air Action International Ltd for all of our shipping needs.

Transit Times - Transit times can vary, usually from 2 – 4 working days under most circumstances. UK Customs occasionally carry out random security checks which can sometimes cause a small delay of a day or so. Please allow plenty of time for orders that are needed by a specific date. We have a lead time of up to 10 working days for all bulk orders so please allow plenty of time when ordering bulk sizes.

UK Delivery is a set £3.00 on retail mail order deliveries- We are more than happy to post your order to a friend or family member in the UK free of charge. We will need a full name, address and telephone number of the recipient. A person at that address will need to be home to receive and sign for the goods. We have to charge UK VAT at 17.5% for all orders delivered within the UK, but the postage is £3.00 most UK addresses. Unfortunately we do not offer a VAT reclamation service.

UK VAT - EEC customers who at the time of ordering provide us with a valid VAT/EEC Trade number will not be liable to pay UK VAT. If a VAT number is not provided with your order then VAT will be charged. All other customers outside of the EEC do not pay UK VAT. UK VAT: 17.5%

Import Duty - You may have to pay import duty on goods you purchase from another country. Please check with your local Customs office.

Some of our Essential Oils are Flammable - A small number of our products are flammable because of their low flash point and unfortunately there are some restrictions on these items. Please check before ordering these products. All of the flammable products on the website are clearly marked with a red diamond symbol, alternatively you can refer to the list of flammable goods further on down the page. The only international shipping company that will carry flammable items for us from the UK is Federal Express and unfortunately only to the following countries: Argentina Canada Israel Monaco Switzerland Aruba Chile Italy Netherlands Tobago Austria Czech Republic Japan Philippines Trinidad Bahamas Denmark Korea (South) St Maarten United States Barbados France Liechtenstein Spain (Madrid Only) US Virgin Islands Belgium Germany Luxembourg Sweden N/A

Ordering Flammable Goods in Bulk Quantities - Orders containing bulk quantities (anything over 25ml) of flammable products have to have special paperwork and need to be packed to specific Air Transport Association requirements and therefore they levy a standard static surcharge of £45.00GBP on top of the shipping cost. This charge is from the shipping company not from Amphora.

Flammable Goods to other Destinations - We can ship flammable goods to other destinations via a freight forwarder which has a minimum shipping cost of about £150.00GBP. The optimum weight for the minimum £150.00GBP is about 30KG. Specific airlines can sometimes offer our freight forwarder a special deal on a day to day basis so we will need to enquire with them before we can offer you a proper quote. We will be happy to give you a quote upon request. The freight forwarder is usually a door to airport only service and you will need to arrange collection of your goods upon arrival. A door to door service is occasionally available, please enquire.

BFPO Addresses - We are unable to ship flammable goods to BFPO addresses, we can however ship all our non flammable goods to all BFPO addresses. Please refer to the list of flammable goods further down the page.

Placing your order - The best way to place your order is online via our secure shopping site where you will be shown the postage costs and all available shipping choices for your country before you decide to complete your order. Payment can be made by most major credit cards (Visa, Switch/Maestro, Mastercard, American Express) via our secure online shopping cart or you have the additional option of paying by cheque (payable to: Amphora Aromatics Ltd), postal order or bank transfer (details available upon request). Any bank charges incurred for bank transfers must be paid for by you, the customer. Goods will only be dispatched upon receipt of payment. Card transactions are not processed immediately online. For added security this is done manually by a real person when your order is put through our system. For extra security we now require the security number from the reverse of your card to complete all transactions. This is the last series of 3 numbers on the signature strip. We accept orders by email, fax, post or telephone if you would prefer, but do not send your credit card details via email as it is not secure. Please use either fax or telephone for forwarding card details.

Office Hours 9:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. All orders placed online over the weekend or public holidays will be processed the next working day.
