Obtained by ethanolic extraction of the concrete, itself produced by solvent extraction of the flowers of Citrus Aurantium L. This consists of 2/3 distilled Neroli blossom and 1/3 absolute extracted Neroli blossom. This is because the neat absolute has a harsh note on its own, but softens down well in neroli oil to give an agreeable bouquet.
Intensely floral, citrusy, sweet and exotic.
Bactericidal, fungicidal, deodorant, moisturising, stress relieving, relaxing, rejuvenating, aphrodisiac.
Linalol, (34% approx), linalyl acetate, limonene, pinene, nerolidol, geraniol, nerol, methyl anthranilate, indole, citral, jasmone, among others.
Named for the putative discoverer Anna Mariade la Treinoille, princess of Nerole in Italy (1670). Pale yellow oil from the flowers of the bitter orange tree were used in bridal bouquets to calm nervousness before the couple retired to the marriage bed.
DILUTE TO 5% OR LESS IN A CARRIER OIL BEFORE SKIN APPLICATION. KEEP OUT OF EYES. DO NOT SWALLOW.
