This section now includes an expanded selection of 100% natural fibre Hemp products such as hemp Backpacks, hemp Shoulder Bags, hemp Rucksacks and hemp Travel Bags. We believe that this range represents a long overdue alternative to modern petroleum based synthetic fibres like nylon or rayon.

We have selected the Pure® range for several reasons to do with environmental sustainability - but also for their stylish appeal and practicality. Pure hempbags are made from 55% non-certified organic Chinese Hemp and 45% cotton. All metal buckles and fasteners (with the exception of zippers) are made from 100% recycled metal and only vegetable based dyes are used in leather tanning where appropriate. This means that our bags have an extremely low Embodied Energy content and a small Carbon Footprint as compared to the average High Street petroleum-based synthetic product.

What's more, Hemp fibre has been recognized for its durability and dependability for centuries so you need not worry about it holding up as well as the ubiquitous nylon bags we have all come to expect.

But - durability, dependability and eco-credentials are not enough unless the various satchels, handbags, crossover bags etc. also look modern, stylish and desirable to the public. Otherwise they would not sell and we would make very little inroads into changing either the public's buying habbits, or towards convincing big business and the textile industry to depend less on unsustainable petroleum products and to pay more attention to natural fibres like Hemp.
