'Geranium is said to be helpful with inflammation and congestion of the breast, and therefore it is good for engorgement of the breasts. It is also good for depression, haemorrhoids and stretch marks'. - an excerpt from Baby Book by Jennie Supper.

'Geranium also has a stimulating effect on the lymphatic system, and this, combined with the diuretic action, is why I use it in a massage cream for the treatment of cellulitis, fluid retention and oedema of the ankles. The two properties reinforce each other in helping the body to eliminate fluids more effectively, and in fact Geranium is a valuable aid to elimination in general, having a tonic effect on both the liver and kidneys. It has been used to treat jaundice, kidney stones and various urinary tract infections.' - an excerpt from Aromatherapy an A - Z by Patricia Davis.

'Swingle (2001) carried out a study at the Newborn Family Centre in Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norfolk, New York, on 25 laboring mothers. Four essential oils, Lavender Essential Oil, Frankincense Essential Oil , and Clary Sage Essential Oil were used in 1% dilution. These oils were used from early labour through delivery. Each essential oil was used for specific reasons... Geranium was used to decrease preineal swelling for extreme and to relieve hemorrhoids; it was also successful.' - an excerpt from Clinical Aromatherapy by Jane Buckle.

'Chilblains - Geranium and Lavender Essential Oil added to a footbath. Massage the areas with 1 drop Geranium and 1 drop Marjoram Essential Oil in 5mls Sweet Almond Oil. Massage regularly to stimulate circulation.' - an excerpt from Aromatherapy Simply For You by Marion Del Gaudio Mak.

'Geranium - also known as Rose Geranium the oil is pale green in colour and originally came from Madagascar. The scent is fresh, floral and sweet. It is useful for most skin conditions and has a stimulting effect on the lymphatic system. It blends well with most other essential oils. It tends to balance extremes whether on the physical or emotional level.' - an excerpt from Aromatherapy A Guide For Home Use. by Christine Westwood.
