Lemon Verbena is a relaxing oil.
Try using 2-3 drops in a dispersant (eg: Amphora Bath or Shower Gel Base) in the bath. You can use it on its own or perhaps blend it with Lavender Essential Oil.
It's useful for people suffering from stomach cramps, indigestion and liver congestion.
Lemon Verbena is also useful as a 'pick me up'. You might like to use it in one of our vaporisers after a hangover or when you're feeling emotionally or physically low. You might find it useful as a stress control agent.
Lemon Verbena also has a softening effect on the skin and can help to reduce puffiness. Care should be taken when using on the skin to avoid any problems with sensitisation - always use well diluted.
The oil is steam distilled from the dried herb Thymus hiemalis,
Sweet fresh, lemony fruity floral fragrance.
Refreshing, reviving and energising.
Arab civilisations regarded it as an aphrodisiac.
Dilute in a carrier oil before skin application. Keep away from children and out of eyes. Do not take internally or apply undiluted to the skin. For further advice on using essential oils to treat medical conditions, we recommend you seek advice from a professional.

'The uses of Lemon Verbena are similar to those of mint, orange flowers and melissa. It is indicated especially for problems which manifest as digestive complaints. The dried leaves are still used as a popular household tea especially in Europe, both as a refreshing, uplifting "pick-me-up"; and to help to restore the liver after a hang over' - an excerpt from Complete Essential Oil by Julia Lawless.
